Welcome and thank you or visiting Katie Kaizer Photography. I live on Nantucket Island and I specialize in photographing weddings, portraits, and events. I also work with many non-profit organizations and humanitarian organizations both in Nantucket and elsewhere. My approach is journalistic with an emphasis on environmental portraiture. I grew up on Nantucket and after many years of traveling and living in other amazing places I decided to move back to gorgeous Nantucket Island year round. I do travel whenever possible in the off season and most recently I spent the month of March in Uganda photographing two different humanitarian organizations. As a photographer my passion is to highlight the unique and original energy from each and every couple, family and subject that I photograph. No two weddings are the same and therefore they shouldn't look it. During a shoot, whether it's a wedding, a family session at the beach, or photographing people helping others in need, I follow the moments and interactions that connect my subjects together.
On a wedding day I work within your day, meaning, you won't be interrupted or disturbed. I sometimes have clients who want their entire wedding photographed candidly. Whether this is your style or if you desire some stellar posing on location one thing remains the same - on your special day your role is to live fully in the moment and mine is to show you through my lens and vision just how incredible that day was.
